Your Questions Answered
What is a Personal Recovery Plan?
One of the biggest things I've learned after coaching thousands of Christian men is that most of us aren't struggling because we don't care enough or aren't trying hard enough. We're struggling because we don't actually understand what's going on. Most guys know what they keep doing. They know when they usually relapse. They know how they got there. But very few men truly understand why. That's exactly what the Personal Recovery Plan is designed to help you discover.
Instead of spending our time talking primarily about pornography, we're going to slow everything down and understand the true issue beneath your struggle. Together, we'll make sense of your patterns, your emotions, your thoughts, and ultimately what your heart has been hungry for all along. One of the things I say often is that temptation is a prophet. It doesn't just show you what you're tempted by—it reveals something about what's happening in your heart. Once you learn how to read those clues, your struggle begins to make a whole lot more sense.
We'll identify what tends to pull you into your Red Zone, what your heart is actually longing for in those moments, and then build a Green Zone that's designed specifically around your story—not someone else's recovery plan. Yours. Guys are natural problem-solvers. When we know what the problem is and we know what to do about it, we're capable of making incredible progress. That's why my goal isn't simply to help you stop watching porn. My goal is to help you understand your heart so clearly that you know what to work on and how to work on it.
By the end of our session, I want you to leave thinking, "For the first time... this actually makes sense." Because in my experience, clarity creates confidence, and confidence is one of the greatest gifts you can have on your recovery journey.
Why should I book a Personal Recovery Plan after taking the Clarity Quiz?
The quiz was never designed to be the finish line. It was designed to give you awareness. For many guys, it's the first time they've stopped and thought, "Maybe pornography isn't actually the problem." Or, "Maybe my heart really is hungry for something deeper." That's a huge breakthrough.
But awareness by itself doesn't change your life. You still need to know what to do with it. That's where the Personal Recovery Plan comes in. We'll take everything you discovered in your quiz results and begin connecting the dots. Maybe your heart is hungry to be understood. Maybe it's reassurance. Maybe it's connection, purpose, comfort, or feeling wanted. Whatever your results were, we'll explore how those heart hungers have been shaping your patterns for years without you even realizing it.
Then we'll begin building a practical game plan around your life. We'll identify the situations where your heart tends to become hungry, the thoughts and emotions that pull you into your Red Zone, and the people, habits, and rhythms that genuinely help fill your heart in healthy ways. One of the mistakes I see guys make all the time is waiting until their heart is starving before they try to care for it. It's hard to fill your stomach when you're starving. It's also hard to fill your heart when it's starving.
That's why we'll build a Green Zone that's practical enough for everyday life. Not just things you can do when you have an hour free, but things you can do in five minutes, ten minutes, or throughout your normal day to intentionally care for your heart before it reaches a crisis point. The quiz gives you awareness. The Personal Recovery Plan helps you turn that awareness into action. That's where clarity begins becoming confidence.
Who is a Personal Recovery Plan for?
This session is for the man who's tired of guessing.
Maybe you've been trying to quit pornography for years. You've prayed harder, installed filters, found an accountability partner, listened to podcasts, read books, or even been through therapy. None of those things are bad—in fact, many of them are incredibly helpful. But if you're honest, you still feel like you're missing something. You keep asking yourself, "Why do I keep coming back here?" That's exactly the question we're going to answer together.
This session is for the guy who's ready to stop fighting symptoms and start understanding the true issue beneath his struggle. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. You don't need to know why you relapse. You don't even need to know what your heart hunger is. That's my job to help you discover.
Whether you've been struggling for six months or twenty years, my goal is the same: to help you understand your story, make sense of your patterns, and leave with a clear game plan that fits your life. Because no two stories are exactly the same, which means no two recovery plans should be exactly the same either.
What happens during a Personal Recovery Plan session?
The best way to describe it is this: we're going to slow your story down.
Most guys have spent years reacting to pornography without ever slowing down enough to understand what's happening beneath it. We know we relapsed. We know we feel guilty. We promise ourselves it'll never happen again. Then the cycle repeats.
During our session, we're going to interrupt that cycle. Together, we'll begin building your Personal Recovery Plan by looking at your story through a completely different lens. We'll explore your patterns, your emotions, your thoughts, and the situations where your heart tends to become hungry. We'll identify your Red Zone and begin recognizing the early clues that your heart is moving toward unhealthy ways of coping.
Then we'll build your Green Zone. This is one of my favourite parts of the session because we're not just talking about what to stop doing we're building a plan for what to start doing. We'll identify the people, relationships, environments, and activities that genuinely help fill your heart. We'll even build your Green Zone around different timeframes so you always have practical options, whether you have five minutes between meetings or an entire evening to intentionally care for your heart.
By the end of our time together, you'll have a recovery plan that's built around your story, your heart, and your next steps. My hope isn't that you leave with more information. My hope is that you leave with clarity. Because when you finally understand the true issue beneath your struggle, you'll know what to do, how to do it, and why it matters.
What will I leave with?
One of the things I want every guy to leave with is a sense of relief. Not because we've solved every problem in an hour, but because things finally begin making sense. For a lot of men, pornography has felt confusing for years. They know they want to stop, but they don't really understand why they keep coming back to it. That confusion often creates frustration, and over time frustration starts turning into discouragement.
My hope is that you leave with something very different: clarity. Together we'll build your Personal Recovery Plan during our session, and you'll receive a copy of everything we've worked through so you can continue coming back to it long after our call is over. You'll leave understanding what your heart is actually hungry for, what tends to pull you into your Red Zone, and how to recognize those patterns much earlier than you do today.
We'll also build your Green Zone together so you'll know how to intentionally respond to your heart instead of simply reacting to temptation. That includes the people who help you, the rhythms that keep you healthy, and practical ways to care for your heart whether you have five minutes or an entire afternoon.
One of my favourite parts about the worksheet is that it becomes something you can revisit over and over again. Life changes. Seasons change. Some weeks are easier than others. But your Personal Recovery Plan gives you something to come back to when life feels confusing again. It reminds you what your heart is hungry for, what tends to pull you off course, and the healthy direction you've already chosen to move toward.
My goal isn't just for you to leave with a worksheet. My goal is for you to leave knowing what to do, how to do it, and why it matters.
How is a Personal Recovery Plan different from therapy or accountability?
This is a question I get quite a bit, and I always like to begin by saying that I believe therapy, accountability, and coaching all have tremendous value. They simply have different purposes. The Personal Recovery Plan isn't designed to replace therapy or accountability. In many cases, it actually works really well alongside them.
What makes this session different is the focus. We're not spending most of our time talking about pornography. We're spending our time understanding the true issue beneath your struggle. Instead of asking, "How do I stop watching porn?" we're asking, "What is my heart actually hungry for?" That changes the entire conversation.
We'll explore your patterns, your emotions, your thoughts, your heart hunger, and the ways you've learned to cope over the years. Then we'll build a practical game plan that helps you intentionally care for your heart instead of simply trying to manage temptation.
One of the things I hear most often from guys after our session is, "I've never understood my struggle like this before." To me, that's one of the greatest compliments I could receive. Because when things begin making sense, confidence begins replacing confusion. And confident men make different decisions. That's what this session is really about.
My hope is that you leave with something very different: clarity. Together we'll build your Personal Recovery Plan during our session, and you'll receive a copy of everything we've worked through so you can continue coming back to it long after our call is over. Why is the Personal Recovery Plan session paid?
I completely understand why people ask this question. There are a lot of free resources available today, including many of my own. That's one of the reasons I continue creating podcast episodes, videos, articles, and other resources to help as many men as I can.
The Personal Recovery Plan is different because it's built entirely around you. Before we ever meet, I'll spend time reviewing your intake form and quiz results so I already have a good understanding of your story. That allows us to spend our session focused on making progress rather than gathering basic information.
During our time together, we're not having a casual conversation. We're building something. We'll create your Red Zone, your Green Zone, identify your core heart hungers, and begin putting together a practical recovery plan that's specific to your life and your story. That preparation, coaching, and personalized direction is what you're investing in.
This isn't a sales call. I'm not trying to convince you to sign up for monthly coaching. My goal is simply to give you as much clarity as I possibly can in the time we have together so you leave with a plan you can confidently begin putting into practice.
Do I have to continue coaching afterward?
Not at all.
One of the reasons I created the Personal Recovery Plan was because I wanted men to be able to receive meaningful coaching without feeling like they were signing up for a long-term commitment. This session is designed to stand on its own. My goal is to help you understand the true issue beneath your struggle, build a clear recovery plan, and leave with practical next steps that you can begin implementing right away.
Some men leave the session feeling like they have exactly what they need. Others decide they'd like additional support as they begin putting their plan into practice. Both are completely okay. If you ever feel like ongoing coaching would be helpful, we can certainly have that conversation. But that's never the purpose of this session, and there is absolutely no pressure.
I care far more about helping you move forward than I do about trying to sell you something. If we only ever have one conversation together, my hope is that it gives you clarity and confidence you'll carry with you for years to come.
What if I can't afford ongoing coaching?
That's completely okay.
One of the reasons I created the Personal Recovery Plan was because I know not every guy is in a place where ongoing coaching makes sense financially. I never wanted that to stop someone from receiving real help and leaving with a clear direction. My hope is that this session gives you a foundation you can continue building on long after we finish our call.
Together, we'll create a recovery plan that's specific to your life, your story, and your heart. We'll identify your Red Zone, build your Green Zone, define your core heart hungers, and create practical ways to respond when life gets difficult. That plan doesn't disappear when the session ends. It's yours.
You'll also have access to my podcast, articles, and other free resources that continue building on the same framework we work through together. My goal has always been to make sure men have practical tools they can keep coming back to, whether we're working together regularly or not.
If, somewhere down the road, you decide you'd like more support, I'm here. But if one session is all you're able to do right now, my desire is that you leave with something genuinely valuable that helps you keep moving forward.
Can I book another coaching session after my Personal Recovery Plan?
Absolutely.
The Personal Recovery Plan is designed to build the foundation for your recovery. Once we've created that together, there's usually no need to build another one from scratch. Instead, some men choose to come back for one or two follow-up coaching sessions after they've had some time to begin applying their plan. Those sessions are less about creating a new strategy and more about helping you live out the one we've already built.
Maybe you've discovered new patterns. Maybe life has changed. Maybe you've hit a challenge you weren't expecting. Or maybe you simply want someone to help you keep connecting the dots as your understanding grows.
If you're not looking for monthly coaching, I also offer individual coaching sessions at the same prorated rate as my coaching packages. That gives you the flexibility to receive support when you need it without feeling like you have to commit to something long term.
Some men never feel the need for another session. Others appreciate having a few conversations over the following months as they continue growing. There's no pressure either way. My goal is simply to help you receive the level of support that's most helpful for where you are today.
Is my Personal Recovery Plan session confidential?
Absolutely.
Creating a safe place where you can be completely honest is one of the most important parts of the work we do together. Everything you share during our session is treated with care, respect, and confidentiality. Your session isn't recorded, and the Personal Recovery Plan we build together is shared only with you.
I know how difficult it can be to open up about something you've probably spent years trying to hide. That's why I want you to know you don't have to pretend with me. You don't have to protect your image, and you don't have to worry about saying the "right" thing. The more honest you're able to be, the more clearly we'll be able to understand what's really happening beneath your struggle.
That's where the breakthroughs happen. Not because you've finally found someone who has all the answers, but because you've finally created enough space to honestly explore the questions that matter.
My hope is that by the end of our conversation, you don't just leave with a recovery plan. You leave knowing you've been heard, understood, and cared for. Because I truly believe healing begins where honesty feels safe.
What if I'm embarrassed to talk about my porn struggle?
I completely understand. In fact, I'd be surprised if you weren't a little nervous.
Opening up about pornography isn't easy. For many men, it's something they've carried quietly for years. They've never said it out loud. They've never told another person what they're really thinking, what they're really feeling, or what they've actually been struggling with. That takes courage, and I never take that lightly.
After more than eight years of coaching Christian men from around the world, there's very little I haven't heard. You're not going to shock me, and you're certainly not going to scare me away. More than anything, I feel genuinely honoured when a man trusts me enough to share his heart. I don't see it as something embarrassing. I see it as an incredible act of courage because I know how much strength it takes to let someone into the parts of your story you've been trying to hide.
This isn't a place where you need to have the right answers. It's not a place where you'll be judged, and it's certainly not a place where I'll make you feel ashamed. It's a place where we'll slow things down, make sense of your story together, and begin understanding the true issue beneath your struggle.
You don't need to clean yourself up before we meet. Just come willing to be honest. We'll take it one step at a time.
What if I don't know why I keep relapsing?
Honestly, that's one of the best reasons to book a Personal Recovery Plan.
If you already knew why you kept relapsing, you probably wouldn't need my help. Most of the men I work with know when they relapse. They know what they watched. They know how they got there. But when I ask them, "What was your heart actually hungry for in that moment?" most of them don't know. And that's okay. It's not because they're broken. It's because nobody has ever taught them how to look beneath the behaviour.
That's exactly what we'll do together. We'll slow your story down. We'll look beneath the temptation, beneath the emotions, and beneath the thoughts until we begin understanding what was really happening in your heart.
One of the biggest mistakes men make is assuming pornography is the problem. In my experience, pornography is usually the solution we've learned to run to when our heart becomes hungry. That doesn't make it a good solution, but it does help explain why willpower alone rarely creates lasting freedom. Once you understand what your heart has actually been longing for, your struggle starts making a whole lot more sense.
Instead of constantly asking, "Why do I keep doing this?" you begin asking, "What is my heart really needing right now?" That shift changes everything. Because clarity doesn't automatically solve the problem, but it gives you something you've probably been missing for a long time: direction. And when you know what you're working on and how to work on it, confidence naturally begins to grow.
Do I need to prepare before our session?
Not very much.
Once you book your Personal Recovery Plan, I'll ask you to complete a short intake form before we meet. That gives me a chance to begin understanding your story, your quiz results, and some of the patterns you've already noticed. I'll review everything before our session so we can spend our time together making progress instead of gathering basic information.
Beyond that, there's nothing special you need to do. You don't need to have everything figured out, and you certainly don't need to arrive with all the answers. In fact, many of the men I coach aren't even sure why they keep relapsing. That's completely normal.
The most helpful thing you can bring is simply an open and honest heart. The more willing you are to slow down, reflect, and explore your story with me, the more valuable our time together will be. You don't need to impress me, say the right things, or have the perfect recovery plan already in mind. That's exactly what we're going to build together.
Come as you are. We'll take it one step at a time.
What if I've already tried everything?
This is probably one of the most heartbreaking things I hear because it's usually spoken by someone who's quietly losing hope.
Many of the men I coach have spent years trying to find freedom. They've prayed harder, installed filters, joined accountability groups, listened to countless podcasts, read books, worked with therapists, fasted, confessed their struggles, and made more promises to God than they can remember. They've genuinely tried.
If that's your story, I first want to acknowledge how exhausting that can be. Constantly feeling like you're starting over can leave you wondering if anything will ever change.
What I've found, though, is that most men haven't actually tried everything. They've tried many different tools, but they've often been trying to solve the same problem from the same perspective. Much of the recovery world focuses primarily on stopping pornography. While that's certainly important, my experience has been that lasting freedom usually begins when we slow down and understand why your heart keeps running there in the first place.
That's what makes the Personal Recovery Plan different.
Instead of asking, "How do we stop pornography?" we'll ask, "What is your heart actually hungry for?" We'll identify your patterns, build your Red Zone, create your Green Zone, and develop a practical strategy that's designed specifically around your story. For many men, it's the first time their struggle has actually made sense.
I can't promise you'll leave with every answer. But I do believe you'll leave seeing your story differently. And sometimes that change in perspective becomes the breakthrough men have been searching for all along.
How confident are you that this approach works?
If I'm honest, I don't believe confidence comes from having a perfect method. It comes from watching real people experience real transformation.
Over the past eight years, I've had the privilege of leading more than 3,000 coaching sessions with Christian men from around the world. Every story has been different, but one thing has remained remarkably consistent. When men begin understanding the true issue beneath their struggle, everything starts making more sense.
I've watched men who felt completely hopeless begin finding clarity. I've watched men who believed they were beyond help begin rebuilding confidence. I've watched marriages begin healing, relationships restored, and men who once lived in constant shame begin helping others find freedom.
That doesn't happen because I've discovered a magic formula.
It happens because understanding your heart changes the way you approach recovery.
My confidence isn't that every man will have the exact same journey. Every story is different. My confidence is that learning to understand your heart, recognize your Red Zone, identify your heart hunger, and intentionally build your Green Zone gives you a much stronger foundation than simply trying harder.
That's why I'm so passionate about this work. I've seen what happens when confusion gives way to clarity, and I genuinely believe every man deserves the opportunity to experience that for himself.
